The Jazz Hip Hop Academy is Momentum Dance’s signature training program for boys and girls ages 6-16.  We provide training in Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet and Contemporary.   Classes progress from beginner through advanced and are based on age, skill level, and previous experience in our program. Our unique Jazz/Hip Hop classes train in and often blend the two techniques in one class. Hip Hop classes focus only on hip hop technique. Class structure includes warm ups, technique/skill building and choreography.

All Jazz Hip Hop Academy classes culminate in large scale, professional, original performances.  In addition to dance, these performances also offer students acting opportunities.  Parents should note that registration for classes assumes participation in the productions, including additional rehearsals, volunteering to assist with productions and commitment to purchase tickets.

 

In the spring we present Alice, our version of Alice in Wonderland; in December, we present our holiday production, Jazz Hip Hop Nutcracker© -- this production also features professional dancers from DC and New York City.
